West Highland Way Outside the Wire
October 6, 2016 - October 11, 2016£295
We will walk around 25 miles (40km) a day through lowland moors, dense woodland, rolling hills and high mountainous regions, among some spectacular landscapes, along the clearly way marked trail. A reasonable level of fitness is required and the trip will involve walking 8+ hours per day, including over some uneven terrain. We will camp at a series of pre-arranged sites receiving practical support, with our kit carried from one site to the next by an experienced crew, who will pitch tents, set up a kitchen, shop for food and begin evening meal preparation.
This six day trip will cost £295 per person, covering a qualified Mountain Leader guide, full support crew, mini-bus fuel, public liability insurance, food, campsite fees, gas for cooking, baggage transfer, use of camping equipment and hire of personal kit (if required).
Each participant is asked to raise sponsorship money in aid of adventure therapy for current and ex HM Forces personnel & their families through Ascend Adventure and The Matthew Project Outside the Wire. The minimum sponsorship is £300.
